Good people,
I have attached a small db. i want to be able to search for any word in the treatment colomn in the report, using a form.
Any help? any word even if in the middle of the paragraph.

I looked at your database. I tried your query and found it keeps putting an "A" before the Like "*purp*" when I was searching for purp anywhere in the treatment column. I tried several times, even created a new query with and without Like . When I used Like "Has*" or Like "*purp*", i kept getting ALike???
Have no idea what problem is, but I tried one of my data bases and the Like worked as expected. Perhaps there is some corruption within your database??

Thx but i guess you understand what i am looking for. Just a search tool which can return results based on the word typed from the treatment colonm. Any possible solutions?

I'm attaching another mdb. I created it from scratch and just imported your tables.
I set up a query to ask for a search string.
