    General section in Tables


    hi my database is almost complete im just having trouble with adding a a Required Field to the General Section (down below) in my tables. Two of my tables already have the Required Field there with the drop down Yes/No. My other 2 tables to not have one at all and im woundering if anyone can help me? Also do u know how to sort/group things in Reports? thanx

    1. Could you post a screenshot of what you mean when you say:
    Two of my tables already have the Required Field there with the drop down Yes/No.
    2. Sort and Group:
    Open your report in Design View [Right-Click Report and choose Design View].
    To the top of the screen you will see a button called 'Group & Sort'. Click that and the rest should be pretty easy.

    heya kewl thanx for that just put up the snapshots. the first one has the required field in it down by general/look up. but in the second photo this does not exist and iwas woundering how to add this. hopefully u understand this lol, thanx

    The highlighted fields in the two tables are of different Data Types.

    One of them is a 'Number' & the other one is 'Auto Number'. They will have different Properties.

    I also noticed a couple of things that it would help you to change if you can - or at least think about when you create new Tables.
    1. Don't use characters like '?' in your Field Names.
    2. Try not to use Spaces in your Field Names [I use underscores instead].
