The database cannot be opened because the VBA project contained in it cannot be read.

    Hi All,
Our database, created on an Access 2010 32-bit Windows Vista machine, that worked yesterday produces the following error when opened with a an Access 2010 64-bit Windows 7 machine:
'The database cannot be opened because the VBA project contained in it cannot be read. The database can be opened only if the VBA project is first deleted. Deleting the VBA project removes all code from modules, forms, and reports. You should back up your database before attempting to open the database and delete the VBA project.'

We, of course, don't want to delete the VBA project.

I attempted the following Microsoft recommended fix without any success:

    c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\ACCWIZ\
    possible resolution:

    1. Close all instances of Microsoft Office Access 2010.

    2. Rename the appropriate wizard files located at c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\ACCWIZ\

    Original File Name Rename To:
    Acwzmain.accde Acwzmain.old
    Acwzlib.accde Acwzlib.old
    Acwztool.accde Acwztool.old
    Utility.accda Utility.old

Does anyone have recommendations on what to try next?

    Thanks for your assistance-

The Reason behind this error is that you have tried to open an Access 2010 database in Access 2007 or any lower version. In Access database, You cannot open or edit a database in later version of Access database You can easily resolve this error by creating a new blank database and imported all the objects in new database.
