edit data in form retrieved from the same column

when I edit data in a form, I would like to choose among the other already written values or enter a different value in a field. Is it possible?? I tried but I think that one can not take values from the same field!!!

Would you care to describe that in different words? It does not make a lot of sense to me as stated.

I am trying to create a form in order to edit data. everything works great but.......... let's say that I enter values for the column Surnames. I want when I start type a surname, a roll down list to appear in my screen, offering the option to choose among all the other surnames that I have wrote in the previous rows...
maybe this is not possible in access

    please helpppppp

A ComboBox with AutoExpand set to YES will do this but I suspect that is not what you are looking for.
