Inventory/Forecast Database Design

I'm a little lost on where to begin on designing an inventory fasting database. I have my tables set up, current inventory, actuals, backlog etc. But a little confused on where to go from here, what needs to talk to each other, building the reports to show what the forecast each month, quarter, annually, ......

Do anyone have any good examples? I tried searching for one on google but I wasn't able to find one.

What is 'inventory fasting'.

Inventory forecasting - only thing I've seen that comes close is budget analysis - using prior period actuals to basis current and future period figures. That what you are looking for?

A budget is a 'forecast' - a plan for future expenditures. That's why I said forecasting is similar to a budget db.

Access forecast database

Got a number of hits on both. Did not investigate further.
