This is no different than an order entry db but I still cannot get the tblBookings.BookingID to the tblBookingDetails.BookingID.
I am using a main form (frmCustomers) and two subforms on tabs (datasheets).
(see attachment)
Thanks

Need a form/subform/subsubform arrangement. Or use this technique to synchronize the two related datasheet subforms: http://www.fmsinc.com/MicrosoftAcces...edSubforms.asp
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
I actually found this last night and after getting the proper subform reference on the main form it worked.
=[Forms]![frmCustomers]![frmBookings].[Form].[BookingID]
Thanks
I spoke a little soon ...
I can see the BookingID in subform "frmBookingDetails" using the above method which worked.
But ... this does not write it to "tblBookingDetails" and I will need this value (BookingID) for query references etc?
Don't know why it wouldn't. Do you want to provide project for analysis? Follow instructions at bottom of my post.
