purging data from ms access tables to archive

    Hi all,
I developed a database that is running out of space. I have it split into a backend/frontend already. Can anyone recommend a way to archive the data every three months with code? There's no admin and they dont want to move to SQL. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks

I suppose code could export all tables to a new Access file or could manually replace files. Keep an empty copy of the backend on hand somewhere. Copy the full be (rename it) to an archive folder. Replace the original with empty be. Issue with the latter method is design maintenance.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Do you do a Compact and Repair on the data base? This can help reduce db size, especially if there are a lot of temporary queries and tables that are deleted from time to time. C&R can recover that space. It is a little uncommon to see a database grow to Access limits in just 3 months.
