Moving records from one table to a new table

    Hi All

I hope you can help, if I give you a understanding of what I have and what I want to do.

1st - Table one, holds around 10,000 recordes, names and phone numbers and basic address information
2nd - Table two which holds all out customer details eg full name and case details and is used by an admin team

What I was hoping to do was have one form designed from table one and when the agent changes a status it moves the record from table one to table two.

    Any help would be great

    Cheers

Please describe the current process in detail so we can appreciate the issue(s).
You mention 2 tables, agent, status, case but nothing linking these in business terms.

What is the purpose of each table?
What is "the big picture"? In 2 or 3 lines what is the business involved?

I have a call centre who I want to have a call list eg 10,000 names, as soon as they have confirmed the sales with the client that record moves into our Main table so we are able to process the business within our admin team and then the recorded is removed from the call list.

    Hope that helps

So, you have a Call centre with a Call list of 10000 names and phone numbers.
I take it that they refers to a caller from your Call Centre. How does this - confirmed the sales with the client - fit?

Does record moves into our Main table mean that the name on the list now changes to Client in the "official" client table?
This is the part that interests me and the question #3 I posed previously -- process the business.

Just out of curiosity - do you review your 10000 name and number list for duplicates before the calls are made?

All the call agent needs to do is confirm the clients details and change a client status to "live" as the 10k records are old clients.

The old table was an excel doc and due to the age of the information the board want to confirm the information before importing it into the new database eg main table, I have moved the 10k contacts into a new table with the same headings as the main table.

At this stage we do not process business but we will contact the client later if one of our products fits needs or if the client wishes to be contacted.

    Cheers

All sorted thanks, I have used a "Append" query and a set criteria :-)
