not correct running total in group

I am in a report, I have several groups and I want to receive a subtotal on
purchase price in my stock type group. My problem is there are several
detail lines and my original value is adding into the subtotal for each
detail line.

I attempted to put a visible field in the group header and a running sum.


Then take that field and put in the group footer without any luck.

Any help will be appreciated

Assuming your subtotal is printing in a group footer section, then you may need to clear it after it prints. The best way to do this is probably to insert a "subtotal=0" in the header section associated with the footer (in the VBA module). That way it will be sure to print the value before it clears.
