    Unhappy clinical database using access

    Hi,

As part of my project I have to design a working prototype of a clinical database using MS Access. Now initially I was using Oracle but later my supervisor suggested access. This has ben a real problem for me as I have no previous knowledge of access and only started learning the basics three days ago. To begin with i created the tables from my logical design. I have attached my database so far but i am very unhappy with the form views. Looking at what i have completed so far i think i need to include a 'Diary' table to show the doctors availability as there is only one doctor at the clinic.

Any suggestions on how to design this database or similar templates I can use?

A lot of us still use A2000 - A2003. There would be more people looking at your problem if you also saved your database in an earlier format.

As Steve has said there are a lot of forum users who have Acc2000-Ac2003 and can not open the accdb format.
If you can not post a copy of you database in mdb format, then I suggest you post a jpg of your Tables and Relationships.

One thing in your post concerns me though. If you have created a logical design and built your tables from that, why did you not include
a structure to deal with DoctorsAvailability?
