Exclamation Creating employee clock in/out application

Hi, I'm trying to create a database whereby employees within a business can select their name, or scan the barcode on their ID badges, to clock in and out of work. However, since I'm new to Access, I have no idea how to do this.

Can someone take me through the steps?

The 'steps' would be too numerous and complex to cover in forum posts. You could examine template databases and see if one would work for you or get ideas for building your own. However, my previous searches mostly returned Excel files for attendance tracking, might be hard to find an Access project.

For starters you need to identify the data entities and relationships. Review this tutorial: http://forums.aspfree.com/microsoft-...es-208217.html

Post your design for analysis (start a new thread).

When you encounter specific issue, post question and we will try to help.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
