Schedule MS Access report to be sent out as PDF documents through MS Outlook

    Dear Experts

I have a report in MS Access. It needs to be converted to pdf and sent to a list of people as mail through MS Outlook at 12:00 Noon on Monday and Thursday. Please let me know how can i achieve this. I don't have much knowledge regarding macro programming. Please help me with relevant links.

    Thanks
    Phani

Personally I'd probably create a db that sent out your emails when it opened, then closed itself. Then I'd call that db from Windows Scheduled Tasks on the desired schedule. A macro named autoexec will run when the db opens, and can either do your process itself or call a function that does it (my preference).

    hello,

pbaldy, i have read over several posts here that you comment on regarding Windows Task Scheduler.
    i have a small problem:

i have 5 dbases taht i made for this purpose exactly, as you have suggested above. they run at 5 am, with 3 min intervals in between.

yesterday and today i got an error message saying "No Current Record". i looked into it, all the data seems fine, so i dont think it is an empty field, or any such thing. when i run the macro from my computer, it works fine, the pdf displays perfectly. when i use the windows task scheduler, it gives the No Current Record error and then proceeds to send the pdf, Error# text will appear where the data should be.

any suggestions as to what could be happening?

    thanks,
    Jorge

My first thought would be to make sure you're still logged into the pc. I've heard of odd issues if nobody is logged in. I leave mine logged in but locked.

    hi Pbaldy,

we have a computer that runs these reports, it is always logged in, all the security issues are okay with it.
there are actually a total of 6 reports taht run, and once it runs into the "No Current Record" it halts that report and which ever ones are remaining.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
