Thumbs up Keep History of Customers

I have a table for my customers with current information.

    CustomerID:0001
    CustomerName: xxxxx

    Address:xxxxxx
    Telephone :xxxxxx
    etc.....
But some time customers change their information. I want to keep their old information in other table. How it is possible? thx in advance.

What information do you plan on keeping? It's true, changes to information can happen with time, mergers,.....
some time customers change their information.

Hmmm... BigRoo wants an audit trail. With an audit trail (depending on the granularity of the data) you might be able to undo/redo transactions.

Do you want to know the History of a company say, where companyA bought out company B and was later renamed Company X?

Or is it CompanyA changed its address on Jan 5, 2011???

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
