    Unbound Phone Number Not Formating

I have an unbound text box that references a combo box. The reference is a phone number and extension. The phone number comes up without a format (i.e. 3031234567 rather than (303)123-4567) even though it is formated correctly in the look up table. How can I get the formating to show on the form.

    =[GSA Contact Cmb].[column](1) & " x" & [GSA Contact Cmb].[column](2)

Have you tried formatting the text box on the form. Right click on the text box in design view. Click on properties. Select the format tab. Select the format you want.

BTW: The data is stored as 3031231234. Formatting is at the control or field level.

When I try to format the text box in the form's design view it only gives me the option of general, dates, currency, etc. no phone number.

Since I have the control source as an expression, =[GSA Contact Cmb].[column](1) & " x" & [GSA Contact Cmb].[column](2), I don't see how it would work even if I had the option.

I told it to save the data with the symbols in the input mask, which it does show when you view the table in the datasheet view.

    Any other options??

I deleted the record and re-entered them and it formats properly now.
