stop box character that represents carriage return

Hi,

I have a Access 2010 forms application.

In the main datasheet form when a user is entering data into a field and presses enter key it drops to a new line in the cell to continue entering data.
This is fine and how we like it.

However, we have Excel 2010 sheets that are linked to the access database
When the query pulls the data down into the spreadsheet in any cell that has the carriage return\enter we see a little box character.

Is there a way in access or excel (preferrably access) to hide or stop this little box character from appearing?

Don't think any way to suppress and as long as you maintain dynamic link to the Access data, the character will be there with every refresh.
