Import Wizard does not start from time to time

    Hi,

I have an issue that happens from time to time when users try to import .xls files to Access.

Each file is for a certain supplier. The user selects the supplier, then they choose an .xls file from a source.

Next the user should be shown the contents of the file, columns, rows etc. Once they are satisfied that the information is correct they press a button called process upload which imports the data to a table in Access.

The problem I am having is that when the user selects the file for import, the process fails before they can even click the process upload button. Instead of being shown the data that is about to be uploaded, nothing happens. No error message pops up, no validation.

Has anyone ever come across something like this?

    Thanks for yourhelp in advance,
    emmett

Suggest that you post your code for the file importation so that we can evaluate the root cause and not shoot darts at it blindfolded.
