Using one form input to add data to multiple fields

I'm new to Access and have got a little bit stuck.

I am trying to create form where a single numerical input will affect the value of multiple fields. Basically, what I want is for the user to be able to input a number in a form and, based on what the number is, certain varying values (different from the number entered) will be set for several other fields.

Any ideas? As I say, I'm new to Access and might need an explanation in relatively simple terms.

You can in that case, write a function in the module, using case statements and then call it in the queries.
