I am getting this error on an Access project I inherited, but only when I start up Access. Of course, in this case there is absolutely no indication of *which* query or report Access is unhappy about.
How can I find this? I have gone through every normal query and do not see any issues, and in fact, can run them. I *suspect* that there may be a query on a report that I have not found yet.
Is there any log in Access that would tell me exactly what "expression" it is complaining about?
Update: I now think I know the problem, but am not sure how to solve it. Some list boxes on the form depend on queries which in turn depend on hidden text boxes that have saved data from some other listbox click data. I believe it is when these queries are evaluated that Access is unhappy. I can see where the original developer used the Form load procedure to force a "click" on several of these controls, which presumably is intended to force the hidden text boxes to be set. If they are not set, such as when I run the query manually in the SQL View of the query editor, I get the same errors as in my title.
So I keep coming back to: is there any way to tell exactly *which* query or control SQL that Access is complaining about?
Thanks,
Mitch
