    Cool Query Ghost or Shadow?

My skill level with Access is at a medium level.

I have a report based on a query. The query runs fine and the report runs fine. But when the report runs it also opens the query results page. I have to close the query then it pops back to the form with the report properly displayed.

I have tried various things, Echo, warnings, application, etc off to no luck.

I am unable to phrase this problem correctly to find the issue. I have attached a screen snap which shows what I am talking about. My application is called MenuPro. I have attached a Jpg so you can see the query tab next to it.

    Thanks folks.

How are you opening the Report?

I have a button on a form using the standard button wizard macro action to open and display the form. Echo is turned off in the arguments section. The form is based on the query.

I'm a bit confused. You say "open and display the form". I thought we were talking about a Report.

My mistake I am refering to a Report. The button is on a form. Click it and it opens the report with the correct data, but it also shows the query as in the graphic. Sorry about the typo.

The Report "should" have the query as the RecordSource of the Report. If so, it is not necessary to run the query as the Report will do that. I suspect you are running the Query first and then the Report. Stop running the Query.

I understand what you are saying. I think I have it correct. I have attached the marco that launches the report and the properties of the report showing the attached query. I don't see anything wrong. There is no VB code associated with this. I can't see any way I am running the query separate from the form.

Well I admit it looks correct but I have no experience with Macro's. Try defining the report button again and see if you get the same recults.

Maybe it is just an anomaly of the Tabbed Documents. Try switching to Overlapping Windows.
