    moving column data to rows

I have an Excel sheet with data organized like:

    1 A
    1 B
    2 A

    2 B
    2 C

I want to reduce the first column to unique records, and have the second column listed on the same row. (I'm assuming I'll need Access to do it.) Is there a way to produce a table like this?

    1 A B
    2 A B C

The final result would need to be something I could put back into Excel.

I recently helped another user with a similar request.

    What????
I do all the work . . . and you don't even want to TRY it???????

I know how you feel, but if you have about 15 minutes - you might find it easier than it looks to get that code into the On Click event for a button on a Form and tailor it to your Table and field names.
Then - once you see it run - it won't be intimidating anymore.
