    Import Lotus 1-2-3 file

Ready for the stupid question of the day?

I'm trying to export a list from Lotus 6.5 to Access as a Lotus 1-2-3 file (can't do CSV because somes records have a comma in the name and it really messes up the file layout). I export it, can see it's in the location I told it to export to, but can't find it when I try to open it from Access (i.e. the file is not visible).

I'm using the import as Lotus 1-2-3 feature in Access 2007 and have also tried looking for it as a text file and other formats. Any ideas?

Stupid questions deserve simple answers. In case anyone else has this problem, Lotus downloads the file as a .dat and Access is looking for a .wk* file (the * could be 1,2,3 etc. depending on the version of Lotus).

I just changed the extension of a .dat file to a .wk and it imported perfectly.
