    Subform Help

I am new to access and have been tasked with working on a new database. The database is for case management and I am trying to build a new case form. I created a navigation form with a total of four left buttons; "case information," "subject information," "vehicle information" and "complete."

I would like a different subform inside the navigation window when a button is click, basically embed the respective subform. For example, on case information, the subform to contain the when and what part and the complete to have a button to submit or add additional subjects. When I right click the subform area and select "build" I am able to add a subform. However, after doing so it disappears as soon as I change from design view. What am I doing wrong?

You need to build your subform as a separate form. Save it. Now in your main form, insert your subform into the main form. Then depending on when you want each subform visible, look at this.

Thanks for the help. As soon as I typed the question, I realized my (stupid) error, I was dragging tables over not thinking I needed to build the forms first (duh)
