Can't Edit Form Properties When Working on a Different Computer

First post here. Hopefully, this is an easy question.

I am working in a database for work. I started building it on my home computer using Access 2010. I also use Access 2010 at work.

My problem is that when I am designing here at work, I cannot edit the form properties to any form I have previously designed or new forms that I design here at work. I can see the list, but cannot acutally edit any item.

I feel certain this is some kind of security setting that needs to be changed in order for me to work on it from either computer, but cannot seem to find the solution.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Make sure that your Windows and Office Service packs are the same between computers.

Also, where are you attempting to edit it? Are you copying the file from a USB drive onto your work machine and then trying to modify and then copying it back to the drive?

Yes I have a portable hard drive that I am taking back and forth to work.

I will have to confirm what I am using at home. I know it's Windows 7 and I think it's 64 bit. Work computer is Windows 7 Enterprise, Service Pack 1, 32-bit OS.
