Cant EDIT Bound TEXTBOXES

hello, i have a form that is based off a query. the "edit" function for the form is set to yes, however when the form loads, the bottom left hand of the screen says "data is uneditable". when i put the curso in the textboxes that are bounded, it says i cannot edit the textboxes on the bottom right hand. any ideas? thanks!

the exact error message is "this recordset is not updateable"

and yes, i have primary keys in my main table. i have a concatenated key

one of the tables my query is connected to IS a linked table, i figure this is the problem but is there still a way around this? i want to keep that table linked because it provides current data

It really depends on what the relationship between the two tables is as to if you can update a query based on them together. See this for reasons why a query may be non-updatable:
