    Counting Help

I am trying to figure out how to do what should be a simple count in Access 2010 on a report and having soo much difficulty doing this I feel like I am going crazy. I have 2 tables - Groups and Allowances. In group there is a field "JobTitle" that is filled in with either: E1, E2, E3, or E4. I am only allowed so many of each rank per group so I am trying to create a report in access that shows the current number of each we have per group (this parts done). The part that is giving me an issue is trying to create a cell that will count how many we have. Any advise on how to do this?

You have a report with a GROUP header/footer based on the JobTitle field? Put expression in textbox in GROUP header or footer: Count(*)
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
