Line chart in access report

Hi
i have data comming from serial port which is stored in memo field in access table from that field is it possible to seperate values by mid function and plot a line graph. Please give me some idea how to do.

Excel? The forms and reports in Access don't provide a lot of support for graphs.

We do some really complicated statistical controls reprots...by using Chart through Excel. fo rsome reason the graph/chart function in access sucks. I can never make that work. It seems very strange to me that you cant do plots of your data from the tool where you data lives...
