    display form(s) nothing else.

hey I am creating a database for a couple of computer illiterate friends.

I was wondering if there was a way to just open up an access database in form view, without being able to access the database, view the ribbon etc. I would like my friends to just be able to click on an icon (or similar) and for the database to open in a form, where they are able to view/create new records without the standard access UI.

    thanks

    Custom Ribbon/QAT

Yes. Some of this can be done with project settings: File > Options > Current Database. Be aware that holding down the shift key when project opens will override these settings. You need to do that so you can do design changes. Beyond these settings, code will be required.
