    Simple Fund Tracking Database

    Hello all,

Need help making a database that will track donations that is entered by more than one user at same time.
Example: User 1 enters 10 into field1 and User2 enters 5 in same field, total should be 15.
I have tried this with a Excel workbook but 2 users entering in same cell causes a conflict and the total in the TOTAL cell is off. I attached a pic of the xls woorkbook iam using now. It has 4 columns, 1st is for description of item or name, 2nd is Date, it gets updated when user inputs data into 3rd column, which is where multi users need to input at the same time and 4th column is the Total of what is entered into column 3.

I dont know much at all about Building a Access database, or if i should do this another way.

    Any help is much appreciated.

Access is certainly appropriate for this requirement. You need to understand relational database concept before proceeding. For starters, check the 'sticky' thread tutorials at http://forums.aspfree.com/microsoft-access-help-18/
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
