update access program

Hello

I have an access program that we are beginning to use and is located on a server, the database is far from finished.
My question is, can I make changes on a copy of the program on my computer and then update the program witch is located on the server. I am thinking to update forms, query, reports, etc., everything except for the data located in the database.
