    Red face Buttons Unclickable Anymore

    Hi,

Just last week, my database is working fine. Now, I tried to click any buttons on my main menu, it highlights the button but does not do anything after that.

Any advise as to what's going on or what to do to fix this issue?

    Thanks,
    netchie

Did you move it? If it's not in a trusted location, code will not run.

Nope; I didn't move it at all. I can still open and edit tables, queries, and reports but when I open the main menu, buttons are not clickable.

    Go into

    Office Button/Access Options/Trust Center/Trust Center Settings/Trusted Locations

and make sure the location of the database is there. Alternatively, click on "Options" in the Security bar right under the ribbon, if one is there.

I'm sorry, I mean I am using Access 2003 for this database.

Also, two buttons on my main menu are working properly. Only the rest are being a pain

Make sure the button is still associated with the code (I assume they have code behind them, rather than macros?). In the button properties, it should say [Event Procedure] in the click event, and clicking on the ellipsis (...) should take you to the code.

yup! they're still intact. I don't know what happened. Anyways, I just decided to copy a back-up and transferred the latest data to it.

Thanks pbaldy, I'll keep your advice in mind

    Thanks,
