    Add/Delete Button

Hi, I am not even a newbie of visual basic. I need to know 2 things. I know there is a built in add/edit/remove button for data entries in Ms access. But I want to know if there is a way to do these things in a custom way. I mean I want to be able to add a new record to database via a custom button or delete it. If I have some text boxes for this adding operation what is the query for this operation. I think I must use Insert Into Table statement but I don't know how to get values of text boxes from a form. I opened the query design section but when it comes to values part I'm stuck.

The other thing is I want my text box to update according to selection of combobox. If I choose id of an employee from combobox, I want to see his/her name information for example.

    Thanks a lot...

I recommend you start with one of the templates and then modify it to suit your needs. Some ship with Access and there are tons of them online at Microsoft for free. Access help know how to get to MS.
