making a form come up automatically after starting Access

    Hello,

I'm an Access beginner user and I have a question about forms.

I've seen Access databases before where when you open Access the form comes up right away - no tables, nothing else but the form.

    How do you do that?

    Thanks,
    Matt

I think what you want is behind the Office Button, Access Options, Current Database. Display Form sets the form that comes up when the application opens. Display Navigation Pane will show/hide that.

Click on the round "Office" button in the upper left hand corner (the round symbol to the left of the Save symbol on my system). Then click on "Access Options" button in lower right corner. Then click on "Current Database" in the left pane (right below "Popular"). You will see "Display form" with a combo box. Click the down arrow in the combo box and select the form you want to open automatically.
