multi forms open & focus issue

I have searched the forums and I don't think I saw a potential existing answer to my issue. Yes, I am new at this stuff and my limited knowledge points me in the direction of a focus type of issue.

I have a form that contains a beforeupdate event that is a function (function uses "Set myform = Screen.ActiveForm") and it works fine when the form is the only form open.

It ceases to work when the same form is opened via a macro (open form) that exists on a different form (no sub forms involved). All together there are three forms open in the window when I want the beforeupdate event to execute which is associated with the last form opened. According to the color and highlighting of the form's title bar, it appears to be active and has focus.

Does this sound like a focus type of issue and if so, how do I correct it?

    I appreciate any possible assistance.

    Tom

    Nevermind

Issue seemed to be associated with the modal selection on the affected form.

    Thanks
    Tom
