    Form entry Control

I have designed an input form from a query comprising of Article ID, Article Name, CategoryID, Subcategory namefrom the Article table and Category Name from the Category Table. If I enter the wrong Category ID (not in the Category database), I cannot delete the Category ID and have to exit the form first . I would like to be able to have a message that appears when an incorrect Category ID is entered, indicating that the category ID does not exist in the database. is this possible and if so, how do I do that? Help!

    Thanks

Have you tried using the BeforeUpdate event of that control to validate the entry?
