How do I create a search/filter function for my form?

I am having problem in creating a search or filter function in my form.

I have this main form and a sub-form. What I am looking for is to be able to type in an alphabet - example an "A" in first name text box and it will lists all the customer's name starting with an alphabet 'A' in the sub-form. My sub-form results is from the query that I have created.

I am not sure if I made any sense but I hope someone out there can really help me out as to how to insert this function.

    Thank you!

Here is one source that might help http://www.datapigtechnologies.com/AccessMain.htm

Go to the section 'Access Forms:Tips'. Look at the tutorials on Search Forms. The query for your subform would have the parameters as described.

What did you try? Attach project with your attempted code for analysis.
