    Report Generation

I'm creating a report right now based on data coming from one of my tables. I've never built a report before and am confused as to how I select what data I want to appear. I have everything set up the way I want it to look, but only want to pull the data that is associated with products that were manufactured after 5/1/2011. How can I select only this data?

    Thank you for your help!

You can base it on a query that includes that as a criteria, or that looks to a form for the date, which would be more flexible. You can also use this technique:

    BaldyWeb wherecondition

which would make the report more flexible.

I tried to make a report based on a query, but couldn't get it to work. I had to pull everything from the existing fields table. How can you make reports based on queries?

I first create a query that pulls the fields I want. I put criteria in it if I'm not going to use that second technique. Then you can either use the report wizard on that query, or change the record source of your existing report to the query. As long as it has all the fields used by the report, it should work correctly.
