My subform ,viewed in Design View, has a nice colored background. In Form View, that subform and all of its fields appear white. All the other fields in the main form display the correct background color. So what's wrong with my subform?

There are two records currently displayed in the subform. I can easily add records.

I guess I didn't understand your issue correctly. Are you saying the BackColor of the controls on your SubForm are different that they are when you open the SubForm directly in design mode?

Is your subform showing in datasheet view or continuous form view?

In the SubForm, to what do you have the BackStyle and BackColor set?
