Importing data via forms

Im new to this forum, i have a reasonable amount of experience with excel but have recently started playing with access. I am having some problems automating the import of data. Essentially I want to be able to have a form with the file path of a file, and then an import button,

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

A little bit more info would be helpful. Will the user enter the filename or will be stored in a table?

What are you using the form for? What will you be importing? Is it an xl file. Based on what you are saying you may just want to directly link to excel using the File-->Link Data

I am trying to do the same thing but iam importing a text file. is that possible?
