paste a table into a cell

    Hi guys,

Im trying to copy many tables from a website and paste each one of them as a single piece of information in my database table, each table for each cell,

Ive tried the simply copy and paste in a cell with format Memo and the format of the table is lost, I know that I can make it an image and attach it to each cell but that will make my database huge and slow

    any ideas?

    george,

even memo fields have limits, but i doubt you'd ever reach it. I don't think you can use the keyboard to copy that stuff because Access reads the clipboard AND the format of the data that's inside of it. If you copy a table from a webpage, it's obviously NOT going to be text, as that never makes sense and also never works. when you copy from a webpage using the keyboard you're not just copying the text from the screen. all the formatting and the background junk comes with it to the clipboard.

there ARE ways to do this of course, but personally I think the question to ask here would be WHY?? why are you doing it and what are you doing in your business that requires it??

    care to share??

This is astonishing me. I am working with Ms-Access since more than 12 years and but I never ever seen such a table where one field can hold the entire table copied from somewhere
