    How to Stop Repeating Values

    Hi all,

I'm fairly new to Access and having trouble with what I think should be a simple query.

I am building an Access Database for a local volunteer group to store data about Group Visits to a local island, the Fauna they Observe AND the Workers present on each visit.

I have created a Query and matching Report that, for each Group Visit, needs to show the Visit Date, Time, Fauna Observed and the Workers that were present on that Group Visit. (All grouped by Fauna Type).

The problem is, that as soon as I add the Worker table to my query, all of the other values are repeated once for every worker.

Does anybody know how to fix this so that, for each visit, it only shows the each worker (that was a part of that Group Visit) once?

I think I may have structured my query or table relationships incorrectly for this small part of my system.

This is only a very small and simple database. A copy can be downloaded from this location.

Any info on how to fix this is very much appreciated!

    Regards,

    Stanbridge

do not join the workers table into the query. Instead, Set up the workers as a sub-report. presuming you have the appropriate cross referencing key value to the main reports' record source - it should work fine.

    hope this helps.

    Hi again NTC,

I had a go, but can't figure out how to connect the sub-report to the main report so that the Worker List in the sub-report will match up with the Group Visit ID in the main report.

    See attached example.

Again, any info here is very much appreciated! I am a bit lost as to how the hell I can do this!!!

    Cheers,
