Red face Forced page breaks - I know really something quite simple

    Hi all,

I hope someone can help me with this. I am fairly new to Access. I last used this database software back in 1989!!!!

I am trying to print off a report that when there are 20 records on a page, to create a new page and so on and so forth until the end of the report. I have created the report based on a query which is asking for all customers based in a certain area.

I have had a look at the help section on Access.

    Many thanks for this

I know how to set page break condition based on change in recordset field value but in this case I guess the condition would be if the recordset row number was a multiple of 20? Where that row number would come from, not sure. Check out this link: http://www.lebans.com/rownumber.htm. I have one report that limits the number of records per page to 24 because page header and page footer sections take up space on each page and the remainder is left for the detail section and there is no report header/footer. There is no page numbering and basically, each page becomes an independent document with its own signature line in the footer.

Thanks for your pointer - Yes, Access was around in the late 80's, early 90's. I remember being sent on a course - "Introduction to Access" when I worked for an Insurance Company.

June 7 - Thanks for your input. Something so simple, but obvious. Considering I use H & F's all the time in another application. Must have been having a vacant moment.

    Cheers
