    Opening Report Crashes Access 2003

    Hi,

I have been desperately trying to figure out why this is happening, with no luck.

In a nutshell, whenever I try to open a report in Access 2003, all of Access crashes and offers to send an error summary to Microsoft. The report was created using Access 2010 in .mdb format. The weird thing is that the query the report is based on IS working just fine, so I think it must be something to do with the report's format.

Does anyone have any ideas? Are reports created in 2010 usually backwards compatible with 2003 assuming create them in .mdb format?

    Thanks very much,

    Greg

try importing the rpt and source into a new db, either 3 or 10, and see if they work.

try duplicating it and opening that one.

try creating a new one in the same db.

these are first steps you should always take.
