Red face Working with Radio Buttons and Option Groups

I am working on a database that has several radio buttons in a group option. When the start up form loads the first button is automatically selected, not by choice I have intentionally I left the default field blank in the properties because I want the user to select what option the want. Is there any way to uncheck all radio buttons when the form loads or opens up or does at least one button needs to be checked at all times?

If you did not specify a default value then no button should be checked. Are you opening the form to an existing record or to a new record? Are you using any code in the on open or on load event of the form that specifies a default value for the option group?
