check the format of an numeric inputted field?

    Hi,

Is there a way to set an input mask for a numeric field, so if gets a msgbox if the values aren't in the format of "123" OR "123.45"

    Thx

well the mask feature is the mask feature - and one can control format. doesn't give you a custom messagebox capability. easily looked up and is a very mature feature.

otherwise one would implement your mask & msgbox using VBA and putting it in the AfterUpdate event of the textbox....gives you alot more flexibility.

    Hope this helps.
