    Question about Validation Rules

    Hi,

I have a data entry database and I am trying to assign a validation rule to one of the text boxes that will limit entries to the following format: L099999. This allows users to enter one letter, followed by anywhere between one and six letters (only one letter and one number is necessary). This works fine. My problem is that I also want to allow users to input a dash (-) followed by at least one number. So in other words, I want users to be able to enter one letter OR one dash, followed by at least one number (and optionally five more numbers). Any way to do this?

    Thanks,

    WilsonsW

edit: the above post should read "followed by anywhere between one and six numbers" not letters

    Thanks!
