    Change to a new table

I am trying to get my Access Report to use a new table. In design view, I change the Record Source to the new table name. I also change the table name in the Order By field. But it won't let me save the change. What am I doing wrong?

    what exactly does that mean?

perhaps you'd care to humor us with specifics?

After making my changes in design-view, when I attempt to X-out to check the result of said changes, it asks "do you want to save your changes?" I click YES, the box disappears, I try to X-out, the box comes back "do you want to save your changes?"... the only answer it will accept to let me out is "NO". Result: It won't let me save my changes.

Ok, I should probably back up a little. Had a new hard drive installed recently and thus a new image of XP and of Office. My old version was Access 2000. The new one is Access 2003. I had my files backed up to a stick and just reloaded them to the new version. Since the new stuff, every time I load the data base I get a window that says:

"An error occured while loading "report name"! Do you want to continue loading the project?"

I have been ignoring the message and responding YES. The report still works the same as it used to. And yes, the report in the message is the one I am trying to change.

The reason I am reminded to tell you this now is because when I attempted to follow your upload instructions and do a Compact and Repair, the same error message was displayed 3 times.

the error message doesn't matter jon. just get the file uploaded, if you can.

that to me, sounds like the same multiple error messages you'll get when opening a database that has broken links to DLLs in it. e.g. - you'll see:

MISSING reference to DLL ....... (ENTER)
MISSING reference to DLL ....... (ENTER)
MISSING reference to DLL ....... (ENTER)
MISSING reference to DLL ....... (ENTER)
MISSING reference to DLL ....... (ENTER)
MISSING reference to DLL ....... (ENTER)
MISSING reference to DLL ....... (ENTER)
but there's only one problem. There's not 7 problems, even that says you'll be pushing ENTER 7 times. same is probably true for you.

I am a little apprehensive showing this to you. I am LESS than a novice with Access. I just play with it until something works, no training. I am certain I am probably doing things in very primative ways and not using it's full functionality.

"Experimental Region-1 Field Notes" but I've been working with
"Copy of Experimental Region-1 Field Notes" they are of course the same.

I've been trying to change the record source from "count station table" to "Statewide-B" but... well, you'll see.
