    never built a database

Hi, I have average skills at building spread sheets. I want to learn about building a database. There are so many books out there I was wondering if someone could suggest a book that basicly teachs not just by giving examples but provides excersises to help you learn. I learn best by doing.

    Thanks

here is a list of the top 5 books for 2003 access
    http://databases.about.com/od/tutori...ccessbooks.htm

i personally found 2007 to be better, but harder to learn. If you dont know anything in access, I would start with 03 first (just my opinion).

    hope this helps!

Thank you, I took a look and I have many Excell books that are 1200pg's. So I don't mind the tech stuff it is usefull later after you understand the basic concepts and can apply them. Then its forums likethis that are handy when one takes on projects that actually more difficult than they look lol.
