    Newbie: Forms always blank

I am an experienced Filemaker user, having problems with Access, in that my forms seem unable to represent actual existing records. I have 6 rows in my table, yet my Form based on the fields (columns) from that table will only show up as blank forms, ready for data input. I can not figure out how to scroll through the records (rows) in Forms View, search for records using the forms, or in any way use the forms to browse, locate or edit existing data, only to enter new data.

In Filemaker, if I select a record in a table, then switch to the form view of that table, the selected record appears as a filled-out form. In Access, I get a blank form.

    What am I doing wrong?

Make sure that the Data Entry property of your form is set to No.

Thank you Steve, that did it! Strikes me as the opposite of how it ought to be, but it worked!
