Importing cell notes from excel

Hi everyone

I have a lot of data stored in cell notes in excel, i need to get these into access, its only 2 fields worth in access, but i need access to realise that new data on a new row in the comment means a new row in access. For example:

(cell comment):
05/03/2009 556,675
05/04/2009 557,675

(Access table):
date reading


row 1: 05/03/2009 556,675
row 2: 05/04/2009 557,675

is this possible? There are a few thousand of these that i need transfered over so doing it with copy and paste is taking too long.

spent a while googling this, its possible using VBA / excel automation. quite advanced stuff so im giving up on this idea, seems too complicated for me. Just a heads up for anyone else attempting this.
