    Multiple Sub Reports

    Greetings,
I'm building a report that has a lot of Sub Reports (10 to be exact). These sub reports auto size on the report but because of this the spacing between them is really weird, sometimes they over lap other reports.

What's the best way to make this report look uniform?

Check to see if each sub report is set to Grow - Yes; Shrink - Yes.

They are, but if one report shrinks the report below it doesn't move up to make the spacing between them uniform. Likewise if one grows the report below it stays in the same place and is overlapping the other report.

    You could also try:

Make sure the detail section of the main report is set to shrink and grow (I am assuming that is where your subreports are).

Arrange all the subreports so that there is no space between them - use the decrease vertical button.

    Hope this helps.

Tried it. Same thing. Checked all detail sections of the sub reports and the detail section of the report they are one. All set to auto-size and can grow and can shrink are both marked yes on all of them.

    Just Learn Just Know

Have you tried to add more and more sections for each subreport?

to add it, click on Groub/Sort-choose expression then write
    Code:
    =[AnythingYouWant]
make sure your each sub report's height (in design view) is as short as posible

Works for me. Cannot replicate the issue.

What happens if you have only 2 subreports?

If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

I have a feeling one of your subreports is in a footer section. This will cause it to anchor to the bottom of the page instead of the top. That can cause your overlap.
